Phase 1 Completed 2014
A new build detached dwelling on an executive development of 12 generous new houses in Torksey, Lincolnshire.
The Fairways scheme has been developed over a number of years with each house being individually designed to provide a development of large family houses each set within landscaped plots. This new house is to be constructed in 2 phases and will total 16,200sq.ft. when completed. Phase 1, which is the main central 3 storey house has a floor area of 10,600sq.ft. and is now completed.
Planning restrictions resulted in a relatively traditional exterior design with symmetrical gables to the front elevation, together with a traditional arrangement of window pattern, roof from, all faced with coursed rubble stonework throughout. The rear south elevation with views across open fields has larger areas of glazing to maximise on daylight into the deep and wide floor plan and, to take advantage of the stunning views, which are further exploited with balconies to the main bedrooms. This design approach provides a more modern appearance to the private side of the new house.
The internal spaces are more contemporary and includes an atrium which floods the central spaces by the large atrium roof light. Well-detailed elegant materials to the interior spaces provide a sophisticated and comfortable family home fro this private client.
